Synagoga
The synagogue of Saranda
The synagogue of Saranda is one of the rarest in the Balkans and the Mediterranean. The monastery belongs to the early history of the Jews of the Diaspora during the 5th to the 5th and 6th centuries AD. Placement of this monument in the center of ancient and modern city, near the eastern port of the castle, the dimensions and the mosaic floors testify to the important role of this community in the life of the port of Saranda and the relationship between the ancient gates of the ancient Mediterranean.
